Design Trends From Clerkenwell Design Week 2025

From the 19-21 May 2025 designers, buyers, suppliers and those simply looking for inspiration headed to Faringdon for the Clerkenwell Design Week to discover what trends, solutions and innovations are coming through 2025/26. HE Interiors Dani Cowan, Meghan Vaughan and Freya Webb attended to meet some of our trusted suppliers and find new solutions for our clients.

Sustainability

HE Interiors projects are rooted in sustainable design and flexible solutions for our clients in the retail, medical, commercial and hospitality sectors. The presentations at Clerkenwell reinforced that this methodology and focus is continuing, with a plethora of solutions with “green” attributes, demonstrating that clients are placing ever increasing importance on sustainable design and materials when selecting products and services.

Colour

Colour has long been an important element of design, bringing your own brand to life and creating an atmosphere within your workplace that resonates with your clients. The range of solutions presented was limitless. Material Bank had a stand in the heart of the event with a rainbow installation showing that texture and materials can be provided to accommodate any colour palette. Likewise Altro brought sustainable safety flooring, doors and walling solutions in colours ranging from pristine whites, to bold reds and everything in between, combining hygiene and safety with on brand styling.

The consistent theme throughout the event was the use of natural tones and a more muted palette with pops of earthy colours. Greens, browns, mauves and taupes were a common theme throughout. This was particularly demonstrated in the new ranges launched by Moventi, where the colour palette was relaxedyet bold, with their adaptable C4 solution bringing function along with a wide colour range to bring a polished and professional touch to any workspace.

Adaptability

With the post-Covid world fundamentally changing the traditional use of office space, flexible design was demonstrable throughout the event. Flexible work spaces and making smaller offices more functional was clearly of high importance , and designers have focused on creating workspaces that can bend and adapt quickly for use. With the increase in business costs, including rent space for offices, it is paramount that the offices of now and the future can change easily, or be multi-functional from the outset. Your Workspace had a wide range of adaptable solutions, supporting flexible and inclusive design for all.

Biophilia

Biophilic design was a key component in almost every design space visited with a wealth of benefits to users of workspaces. The inclusion of plants, both natural and preserved is clearly an important part of the design process. Plant Care Ltd, are passionate about the health and wellbeing benefits of integrating plants creatively into work spaces, and this was demonstrable through the use of planting in multiple presentations. Their presentation included a multitude of installations and free standing solutions to enhance any workspace along with services to maintain the plants for their clients.
